So excited to get my new and improved (I hope!) blog, up and going! Looking to create an inspirational, fun, dynamic place to read about Stampin' Up! products and ideas for innovative card making, paper crafting and scrapbook pages. I have been with Stampin' Up! for about 5 years and completely smitten with the creative possibilities available. I aim to always remember that everyone does not start at a high level. I was a beginner crafter not so long ago, and I aim to remember that as I present instructions for card making and the use of equiment and supplies of the products that help us create. Feel free to let me know if I need to back it down or speed it up- I am a rookie at this blogging, teaching and videoing while crafting. But I love teaching- whether children or adults. "Spreading the Love" is how I see it!
So buckle up, get a cup of coffee or anything good to drink and snack on (as long as it doesn't get spilled on your computer or craft supplies), and follow along with me on the adventure into card making joy!
First up is a technique call "Opposing Triangles". Shown here is a fall card with a Thank You sentiment. The purpose of using this technique in a card is to emphasize the sentiment in the center of the card by constructing it with triangle put tgether similar to a quilt square. The suggested lines of the adjoining triangle pieces of Designer Series Paper cause the eye to look to the center, becoming the focal point of the card. Sounds all comicated, but its really simple. Perfect for a beginner stamper and crafter. Apologies for the GIANT size of the card- obviously I am a beginner blogger! Live and Learn!
